Softr Databases is native to the platform, so your data and your app live in the same place instead of syncing over a third-party API. That means faster load times, no external rate limits, and instant triggers for Softr Workflows when a record changes. You can still connect Airtable, Google Sheets, or any of Softr's 17+ data sources if that's where your data already lives, but for new projects, starting with a Softr Database gives you more room to grow.
- Is Softr Databases included in the free plan?
Yes. Softr Databases is available on every plan, including Free, which comes with 5,000 database records at no cost. Paid plans raise that ceiling significantly (50,000 records on Basic, 500,000 on Professional, and 1 million on Business), so you can start small and scale without switching tools.
- Can I import my existing Airtable base or spreadsheet into Softr Databases?
Yes. You can import a CSV or spreadsheet to instantly create a new table with your existing data, or import a full Airtable base (tables, fields, and relationships included) directly into Softr. This makes it easy to move off Airtable's per-seat pricing and API limits without manually rebuilding your data structure.
