Talent Space is a simple but powerful self-service tool that helps downsizing organizations to highlight their talents' expertise and help them get connected to the hiring organizations. The template provides an easy-to-set-up interface for your talents to create their profiles. No more manually-updated spreadsheets and docs!


Your talents will be able to create their own profiles to showcase their skills, expertise and experience to increase the chances of finding a new job quickly. You in turn, as a downsizing organization, will be able to easily share the talent directory with potential recruiters and hiring companies.

How it works


The Talent Space template is an easy-to-use plug-n-play solution! The basic version setup is fast, which a deeper customization of the template might require some extra time.



So, let's quickly go through the key setup steps you need to take to get up and running.


Please, note that here we cover only the technical aspects of the setup. We don't really go into organizational aspects such as internal process alignments, communication, and so on, which are quite specific for each case.


Setting up

  1. Create an account with Softr and Airtable;
  2. Copy the TalentSpace template to your directory in Softr (-> click “Use template”);
  3. Copy the Airtable TalentSpace Base to your directory in Airtable (-> click “Duplicate Base”);


Adjusting

Now you can start customizing the dummy data to add real data about your organization. This will involve replacing placeholder images and text that comes with the template as well as modifying the mock data present in the Airtable database.



Using

Once your Talent Space is all set up and adjusted, you can start using it right away! As the admin of the talent directory, your main task will be to review and approve/reject the submitted talent profiles. This can be done by simply going over the profile on Airtable and marking it as approved or rejected in the status column.

FAQ

Yes, feel free to change it to any name that you prefer.

You can adjust almost any part of the application based on your needs and preferences (from simple pictures and logos to adjusting the code itself). It depends only on your skill-set. In the current version, that doesn´t require any coding or design skills, we have tried to cover the most important use-cases. However, if you feel that something is missing or should be differently - please let us know via our customer support.

Yes, absolutely! This is also something that we would advice to do, as it will be much easier to share such a link with the audience. Once you have set up your TalentSpace, you would need to add your customized URL in your dashboard of the application via softr.studio.io: Dashboard → open your application in studio → “Publish” → “Click here to add a custom domain” → add your custom URL → “Add domain” → “Publish updates”

As soon as you click the Use the template button, you'll be immediately taken to Softr studio and can start working on the template. If you don't have a Softr account, you'll be prompted to register first (a Free account will work just fine).

All the Softr templates are completely free of charge and can be used with any of the Softr subscription plans. However, Free and Starter plans have a limitation on the number of application users, so you might need to consider a higher subscription plan if you need to have full Memberships access.

Not really. The free Airtable subscription plan provides 1200 records per base, so if that's sufficient for your project, the free plan will work just fine.

No, unfortunately that's not possible. You'd need to create a new application using the template.

You need to copy the base with mock data to your Airtable account which is linked to your Softr application. The process is described here.

Yes the given template is just a handy starting point, and you can add more blocks and pages to customize it exactly as needed.
