How the contractor portal template works

To start using this template, all you need to do is:

Click Use template
Sign up or log in to your Softr account (it’s free, no credit card required!)
Connect your data source (Airtable)
Map your data to pre-set fields and pages to replace mock data
Set up user groups and permissions
Test each workflow, integrating with other tools as needed (e.g. Zapier, Make, Stripe)
Publish and share the URL

Note: Subcontractor users need to be created through the Softr interface (Users tab) and then manually linked on Airtable to a new Subcontractor record (Subcontractor table). In addition, formulas in the last 2 columns of the Jobs and Subcontractor tables in Airtable need to be customized to include the URL of the application, which can be found once the application is published in Softr.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Softr account to use the template?

As soon as you click the Use the template button, you'll be immediately taken to Softr studio and can start working on the template. If you don't have a Softr account, you'll be prompted to register first (a Free account will work just fine).

Can I use the contractor portal template with a free Softr account?

All Softr templates are completely free of charge and can be used with any of the Softr subscription plans (including free). However, Free and Starter plans have a limitation on the number of application users, so you might need to consider a higher subscription plan if you need more people to have access.

What data sources can I use with Softr?
