About the contest

The #BuildWithNewBlocks contest gave builders two weeks to develop brand new applications using Softr’s latest navigation, table, and user authentication blocks (log in, account settings, and more). Participants had complete creative freedom to build any application they wanted, and we were blown away by the diversity and quality of submissions.

We received entries from makers all around the world, each bringing their unique perspective and problem-solving approach to the platform. The global participation demonstrated the far-reaching impact of no-code development and the universal appeal of building with Softr. Meet the winners

🏆 1st Place: Julien - FIRE (Finest Real Estate)

Congratulations to Julien for taking the top spot with "FIRE," a comprehensive digital real estate agency platform. This impressive project combines a public-facing website with a powerful internal management system for high-end real estate operations.

What impressed us most was how Julien created a seamless experience for both potential buyers and agency staff. The public side allows users to browse properties with detailed galleries, financial information, and booking capabilities (through the new Calendar block), while the agency portal provides robust tools for managing listings, clients, and content.

The application beautifully demonstrates how Softr can power sophisticated business operations while maintaining an elegant user experience. Julien made excellent use of the new navigational blocks for intuitive browsing, table blocks for property management, and the new sign-up/sign-in system for a smooth authentication flow.

🥈 2nd Place: Alisa - EverHub

Alisa's "EverHub" secured the second spot with its innovative approach to connecting tech professionals globally. This platform facilitates meaningful connections by matching users for casual online meetups based on shared interests and availability.

What stood out about EverHub was its thoughtful user experience, from the smart onboarding process to customizable calendars and detailed user profiles (using the new Grid and List Details blocks). The concept addresses a real need in the tech community for authentic connections without the awkwardness or pressure of traditional networking.

Powered by Notion as a data source and Make for automated workflows, this application showcases how Softr can be extended and integrated with other tools to create a powerful community platform.

🥉 3rd Place: Caio - Gym Owner Management App

Rounding out our top three is Caio's Gym Management Application, an internal tool that transforms how gym owners manage their business operations. This project stands out for its practical approach to solving a real-world problem many small business owners face: moving beyond spreadsheets to a more effective member management system.

The application enables gym owners to manage members, track active and inactive status, visualize important KPIs through an intuitive dashboard, and create customized training and workout plans. Caio made excellent use of the new Table and Chart blocks to present information in a structured, actionable format.

What impressed us most was how this solution directly addresses pain points Caio observed in a real business setting, demonstrating the potential for Softr to create significant value through relatively simple applications.
